Welcome! I am a first-year Ph.D student at the Department of Political Science,
Stony Brook University, NY.
Prior to coming to the U.S., I earned a M.A. in Political Science from the University of Brasilia. My research focuses on Comparative Political Behavior, Public Opinion, Political Psychology, Survey Research and Experimental Methods.
I am interested on the relationship between mass public and political institutions and how these interactions affect the democratic process in the U.S. and Latin America.
I am deeply concerned also about problems of survey design and analysis, the development of scales, questionnaire construction, social desirability, experimental design, and other elements of quantitative research that aim to yield data susceptible to statistical analysis.
